Default Where did the wind come from?

Lots of riders have been enjoying the fresh March wind this week. Where did it come from?

"Atlantic high pressure will continue to ridge north of the area through early next week...maintaining a moderate to occasionally fresh east to northeast wind flow through the period." From: Weatherunderground.com

Right you are Mike. Tight isobars, gotta love 'em, outside of the funky circular ones! More wind on tap too.

I can't remember the last time I was able to get out 8 days straight in winds ranging from 15 to almost 25 kts+. Five days down and at least three more of good wind by the forecast. I am afraid I may become jaded by winds less than 20 kts..

What have been people experiencing out there?

Just got back from KW checking out the comp. and visiting with The Kitehouse. A few articles will come from the visit and 4000 shots+ that came back as well. It looks like the wind will be going off down there for sometime to come based upon the weather pattern and what happened last year under similar conditions. So, calm warm water and wind into the 20's most days perhaps into the near future, checkout Bone Island.

How was the wind on the mainland this weekend? Was it fairly clean or were there some storms?
