Default Perfect Commuter Vehicle

My good friend found a great way to get to work the other day and the vehicle requires no gas......you guessed it a kite.

Don't know if this is a first, but he kited to work the other day. About ten miles.

Now only if today's hybrid cars could do that.

I read an article about some guy somewhere in Europe (several years ago) that use to kite very often to work, then take the trolley home. Seems fun.

Default Quantum Leap?

Combine a kite with a board with wings like a glider and you could kite-fly to work. Instead of edging against the water you would have to edge against the air once you've achieved sufficient altitude and got up to speed. The only problem I'd have is a clear landing area where I work... Theoretically possible?? You make the call. The other problem is where to land if the wind dies?
