Your best bet might be Smyrna Dunes Park south of Ponce Inlet. I would watch the tidal currents near the inlet however.

Driving directions from Orlando to New Symrna Beach. You need to head further east to A1A and drive north to the Park on the south side of Ponce Inlet.

I was up there about a month ago and saw about 8 guys divided between the beaches to the north and south of Ponce Inlet, so you might have company on a good wind day.

You have your lessons out of the way, correct?

Why not click on the links that I researched for you in the original post? Included are a Sat. image, Park name and driving directions from Orlando. I don't have an address for the Park although I bet you could find one with a net search. UCF is likely going to throw tougher stuff than this at you.

Again, you have had basic instruction, correct? Some of the reasons for this question appear at:

Seems like the answer might be no.

So, here's some more stuff to think over, check it out. You might be glad you did someday.

I trained in Titusville for my first 5 or so sessions. Shallow water and no chance of being washed out to sea. Make sure you/ve got help launching.

Parrish Park is where it happens.
