Venice

I'm in North Port (by Venice) for the winter 6 months. Does anyone kiteboard near Venice? I see great info posted for the Tampa area, and for Fort Myers, but wonder if there is anything closer, like the Venice Beaches, that people use to kite? Looks like good wind this Sunday. Thanks

There are kiters along most coastal areas of Florida including Venice and there abouts. An old post from riders in the area including contact info appears at: http://fksa.org/showthread.php?t=906

I have never kited there myself and so don't know specific launch areas. Perhaps Latino or some of the other guys can toss out some local info. Hope you get some good wind this weekend.

i kite on venice south of the dog beach and north of the pier 5 blocks north

go to south of getty on any west direction and you will find a local kiteboarder
and they can help you.
