Thanks so much for the reply. I am still hoping to get out to the Miami Kitemasters tomorrow. Wind is looking a little light, ok, a lot light, but still want to get out and see what is going on and who knows maybe the forecast is wrong. I hope i didn't jinx it.

As the wind is forecast to be so low I was tentatively thinking of not bringing my equipment but then I came to my senses!

Regarding kites, I am bringing the 12 and 19, couldn't squeeze in the 8.

The 19M is a flysurfer speed 2. I weigh about 162lbs. With a door 164 I can get going in around 7.5-8 knots but that board is way too large to bring on the plane and is really only good for reasonably flat water. With a 136 cabrinha caliber I am sufficiently powered around 9.5-10 knots and by 12knots I am fully powered. While it says that the flysurfer speeds range can top out around 18-19 knots you have to be pretty crazy to take it up that high or be a lot heavier than i.

Who knows, I may even get out tomorrow on the 19? I arrive tonight at midnight.

I will look out for you tomorrow...take care,

James
