Default Video - Sunset Kiting Session

Third night running, 10.21.09, one more on tap? Sure is good to get back out kiting again. Was using a GoPro WIDE camera mounted on my helmet.

What kind of sessions have folks been getting in?

Wind's back!

Yes, the cameras are a bit touchy but worth the effort for the results. They have a new HD unit out that may have a number of improvements, including higher resolution, longer battery life and memory capacity.

The short answer about the splints, is to manage pain? Or better, to avoid it. Tore tendons and ligaments in my wrists a couple of years back. Way too many years of high bar pressure and long 5 to 8 hour sessions. Shooting video while holding the bar with one hand may have also taken things in that direction. Once messed up, somethings can be slow to heal. Still looking around for something a bit more functional, less confining.

I ordered the go pro hd camera today, they are brand new and dont even ship until nov 3. I am battleing many injuries including wrist injury where i have to wear a similar brace occasionally.

Good news on the HD, sorry to hear about your wrists though. I wish I started wearing wrist braces about a year earlier than I did. The conventional ones don't seem to help much in kiting, they just hold the ligaments and tendons together. I need something that passes stresses over the wrist somewhat. That is what these splints do, just not very functionally for kiting. Still looking around for something better. Good luck to you, hope yours heals soon.
