Default 30mph record broken

It was my own personal best record. I could never seem to break my 30mph record. I sustained 31mph this weekend down in the Islamorada. Tammy and I did a DW with Gabe, Brian May, and Doug. What an amazing weekend. I also had one of my worst wipeouts when trying a speed run. Water hurts more at high speeds, I saw stars for a while. (Seriously)

Isn't it wild that these guys are making runs almost double that speed. No to take away from the proof that you hit 30, thats quite an accomplishment, I mean with 6 more mph you don't need the board anymore you can start to barefoot. Come to think of it with the kite pulling up a little bit it is not out of the question to give it a run. Next time you are at 30mph kick the board off and head downwind a little and see how far you can barefoot ski with a kite. Good job Chris.

I can't even imagine what it would feel like to hit 50mph. I also wouldn't want to know what it feels to hit the water at that speed either.

Does anyone else know what speeds they have hit? I think Crazy J hit 38 or 40 a while back down in the keys.

I FEEL like I've gone in the 40's before! But it's probably like boosting... hard to judge.

What type of GPS did you use to log this data?

Its water proof but I still carry it in a waterproof pouch. I also put in a 2gb micro sd card. This thing is pretty cool.
