Kite Ride Bonaire 2014 Competition!

It happens on June 17 - 22, 2014 at Atlantis Kite Beach on the flatwater lee side of the island.

"Bonaire will be the backdrop of Kite Ride Bonaire. From 17 to 22 June the first international wakestyle competition in the Caribbean will be held on the island. The best pro wakestyle kiteboarders in the world will astonish the spectators with their stunts and tricks. And to make the event an annual event they will work closely with the locals.

Ideal spot
The flat water and constant trade winds make Bonaire a great spot for wakestyle kiteboarding. The land breeze makes it easy to follow the kiteboarders from the beach line. During Kite Ride Bonaire 'Master of Extreme' Ruben Lenten and his friends will treat the public on extreme stunts. Also, an attempt will be made to break the world record ‘longest rail ride’.

Ride with the pros
Kite Ride Bonaire gives everyone the opportunity to kiteboard with world’s best kiteboarders. The pro’s will also give tips and lessons. In addition, Ruben Lenten will give a speech at the comprehensive school on motivation and willpower. The youngsters get answers to questions like: how do you set goals? And what can you do to achieve them?
