As much as I loathe the name of this thread... it seems to be where everyone talks about the next place to kite. If everyone isn't too tired from kiting on Friday while I'm at work... what is everyone thinking for Sunday?

I don't think I've kited in a southwest/west wind before... is that Jaws Beach?... Lyford Cay?

Well.. sunday is supposed to be windy so I'll be there. iKite just downgraded to 15 knots... but Windfinder is still calling for 24knots.... but I have an 07 16 metre Flow SLE now... so that should work just fine! It's high time I started taking to the air.

And what is going on with no one posting? Robby... that last thread you started ("tired of all the driving") really wrecked everything... way to go! Next time you don't feel like driving to Go Slow... keep it to yourself y'big whiner!

Keeping my fingers crossed that the forecast holds up for Sunday. If so, it should be solid since its sunday and everyone is free....AJ maybe u can get free.....we should do a downwinder if there are some waves out.

hmm... Windfinder.com was claiming 28 knots afternoon peak all week.
iKite was waffling midweek claiming 15 knots.
NOW... both Windfinder and iKite are boasting 29 knots at 2-3pm! Anyone game for a morning go out so I don't get blown away?

Default Git it while the gittins' good

Why isn't anyone posting on one of the windiest weeks of the year? WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE?

I was out last night at Club Med and learned once again how nasty that new hotel is. It casts a wind shadow for kilometers down the beach. Anyway... things couldn't have been better... I just stayed at the end of the beach north of the hotel. That water is incredibly flat in an ENE wind. Thanks to a few changes including copying Dave's footstrap set up... lowering my harness so it doesn't ride up (I can't believe I was too dumb to try this earlier)...and of course Mateo's patience in the last few weeks with getting me launched and rescued... I finally felt like I had the hang of it. I could leverage my weight against the kite better, the board was responding, I was zipping upwind easily, getting off the water.... aaaah... I think I'll go out again tonight.

... start posting more posts... remember... 8 more days until the new hotel opens... club med's last days!
