Kiteboarding in Ceara/Brazil
Hey guys, My name is Roger Almeida I live in Orlando for 5 years and I work as a mortgage broker. I was raised in Fortaleza,Ceara-Brazil and I'm writing to let you guys know a great spot for kiteboarding. Usually I go there to visit my family once a year, perhaps I'll be there in december. I'll be more than happy to show you guys around while I'm there.
Fortaleza is the capital of Ceara. Tucked away on the north-east coast of Brazil. Excellent for kitesurfing offering different water conditions, from sweet water lagoons, to perfect flat sea water to perfect sets of waves to powerful waves on side onshore winds, besides that, our litoral just on our state CEARA has almost 900 kms of ininterrumped empty beaches. Between november 20th and 30th they will have the PKRA 2004 SUPER KITE CEARA at the PORTO DAS DUNAS BEACH for the second year. http://www.taieventos.com.br/superkite/event_info.html Best spots to kiteboarding are PRAIA DO FUTURO, CUMBUCO, LAGOA DO CAUIPE, JERICOACARA, ICARAIZINHO, LAGOA DA COFECO, PORTO DAS DUNAS. You can petty much kiteboard all year around(Best season is between july and november).
