Default Kiting in the Bermuda?

Hi,
I am planning to spend a weekend in the Bermuda Islands and wondering if there are any chance for kiteboarding there this time of the year?

If not, any good diving there?

Thanks!
Tanguy

According to the stats on Windfinder it looks light, around 11 kts.. http://www.windfinder.com/windstats/...da_airport.htm

At the same time, current realtime winds at Hamilton Airport look pretty good today:
http://www.windfinder.com/report/bermuda_airport This seems a bit unusual then again we've been getting a fair amount of typically rare wind in South Florida this summer. Bermuda gets wacked by tropical systems just like we do, sometimes more often. Wind and squalls come with those of course. I would look at weatherunderground, NHC and http://www.windfinder.com/forecast/bermuda_airport closer to your travel time and make a call.

More info on a now defunct website from the web archive at: http://web.archive.org/web/200509040...a.bm/index.asp

Yes, there is lots of diving to be done off the island, tons of wrecks too. More info at: http://www.diveguide.com/berm-scuba.htm

Don't forget the classic movie "The Deep" shot in Bermuda. Of course as I recall a lot of the shooting was done in an land locked UW sound stage and the wreck stuff shot on the Rhone in BVI. Still, has to be nice off there.

Have a great trip!

Thanks for the pointers Rick, as always!

I hope we'll get some wind.
