Rodney Mullen kills it because he was the best freestyler back in the '80's, then street skating took so much from the old freestlye. He may not do huge crazy leaps, gaps, etc., but that guy is for sure the most technical. I love watching that stuff.

lol this level NOW ADAYS?? All of those tricks are variations of what he was doing in 1988!! They are STILL better than anything any street skaters do today.

Rodney really is THAT GOOD and he was just as good 20 years ago if you can believe it. My favorite skater. Nice guy too.

Per Welinder... , he and rodney were the top 2 flatland skaters for a long time in the late eighties.. he came to eugene oregon and put on a demo at the mall.. only about 8 of us showed up so we got to hang out with him all day.. guy was INSANE .. 3 of the 8 ended up buying the flatland style boards (typical board at the time was much larger).. no one could do anything like Per. (pronounced "Pear").. i could do some flip tricks but that was about it..

damn those were some good times...

i think this video of rodney is about 5 years old .. maybe more.. guys been doing this stuff for decades.
