Hey Steve,

Are you talking about too much easterly wind and not enough out of the west which normally comes with fronts. Or, just not enough wind in general? For my part in the SE, I can recall worse winters for wind, but it has been a while.

How has this winter been so far in your part of Florida, wherever that might be?

here in tampa area; last year was the absolute worst that I can ever recall.

This year started out real good in November with lotsa early fronts, but this december and especially january have been a complete joke for wind.
I can only hope the next half of this year doesn't turn out to be like last year

Ouch! two back to back windilless years

Here are a couple threads on KF where Scott gave his view of St. Pete winds in the coming winter. He didn't seem so amped, especially about Dec/Jan.

I was just talking to Scott about the wind and this season a couple days ago.
He seemed to think this wasn't all that abnormal for Dec/Jan. He also said the winter of 06/07 was unusually good, as in not normal.

Yeah, my past many years experience in FL has told me the winter winds usually take a little bit of a hiatus from around december 15th-end of january...... but this is beyond rediculous !!! I think I've only kited 1 day since I got back from PR!
