Matheson Announcement: Closed to kiting Oct. 16 in a.m.

The Miami Kayak Challenge (benefitting Cystic Fibrosis) is being held at Matheson Hammock Saturday, October 16th (tomorrow) from 8 a.m. - noon. Due to the high expected turn out, the venue will be closed from 8 a.m - noon.

So, sleep in a bit longer than usual and grab a big breakfast before coming to the beach. Or... come down early to sign up at 8 a.m. and help raise money for a good cause. Despite the name, the event is open to all paddle sports and I'd guess that there will be many SUP's racing as well. There are 2 courses, a 6 mile and a 12 mile. Do it to win or do it for fun. The entry is only $40 and it includes breakfast, t-shirts, and more.

Sorry for the late notice, however we were not originally expecting such good wind. Let's give them the beach for a few hours to help them make a difference. Thanks.
