Default Cayo Costa State Park, Southwest Florida

Caught some nice SW wind last Sunday, Feb 17 at Cayo Costa State Park, I had the luxury of flying in for a TV commercial shoot the day before, but there are several ferries that run to the island, it would be fun to go back by boat and take full kite and camping equipment, miles of empty beaches, the head Park Ranger, Bill Nash told me kite boarders are welcome, I think I had the whole 8 mile beach to myself that day!

Great shots JP and I really like your kite transport! Did you take the chopper or ferry to the island for kiting? Thanks for posting, looks like a blast.

Rick,
Landed heli close to northwest beach side. I walked south of point for better wind, nice sandbar off shore could make some nice waves in better wind.

You have to have one of the best kite transports that comes to mind! What sort of wind speed did you have on the water?
