Default Anyone else feeling cooped up... aggrivated...irritable...outta shape..bored...????

I find myself spending way too many hours looking at forecasts for wind.

Hoping I might catch an hour or two of a seabreeze.

During these DOLDRUMS... I'm just curious if anyone else feels:

1. Irritable
2. BORED
3. Easily Aggrivated
4. Outta shape
5. Annoyed at the forecast
6. Like summer is never gonna end
7. Cooped up

ETC...

You could if you let it get to you,...

but, give in to the fact that there is no wind until nov-oct-sept ( except for a tropical storm ) and you'll be liberated of all that.

during the off season I just ramp up on all the projects around the house that I can't get to do during the on season cause I'm looking at forecasts or kiting then!

and there is alot to do!

I never look at a forecast or even think about kiting this time of year.
It doesn't get to me at all, I just do other things. Weird thing is, I am usually more fit this time of year b/c I do a structured routine.

I didn't say I didn't have them the first 5 summers.
You will get use to it. I feel for ya', trust me, I remember the first two windless summers.
After the 5th or 6th, you just realize it's best to "give up" and do other stuff.

Todd,

This is my 3rd summer and I am finally ok with it.

I have been doing alot of house projects, getting back to playing the guitar, and luckily there have been some waves. Beautiful sunset sesh tonight after work.

But I feel for ya....the first few summers are tough.

Good luck!!!

After 14 years of windsurfing... I thought this would be different.

Last summer was my first kiting summer, and it seeed liked we rode all the time! Like every two or three weeks! With Windsurfing... you KNEW there was no chance in hell you were gonna get to ride till at least NOVEMBER. Unless we had a TS or Hurricane.

But with kiting... almost every evening has a small chance of a seabreeze. Last night was damn close... but the the lightning started popping.

But it's always fun 'wind hunting'!

Now when is the FKA invading the cable park? I can't find that thread...

Last summer I spent the majority of my time with Chad085 sitting on our kites at Indian Rocks Beach waiting for the seabreeze to find us and 9 out of 10 times we got nothing.

This time around I try to go to the beach still, but don't even worry about kiting, instead I hit Caddys or Undertow where the drinks are cold and the scenery is good! Can't wait for that cable park to open either!

I'd also like to get some dives in this summer but am even having trouble finding time for that.
