I had something similar happen in Pompano recently. My board drifted a couple of hundred feet down the shore as I secured my kite with some line tangles. A woman had picked it up and was looking for a reward for finding and taking the board off the beach?! People.

i watched my board being winched up into a hovering NAVY helo (a few years back).
