could have ridden a B3 trainer kite at East Beach today. I got gust registering 29 knots on the beach. SW meter said up to 38 around 1 pm.

we were all (about 4-5 people) hanging on to 9m bow kites completely litt

awsome session,
the 7m would have been litt as well, but doable if we were on 9m bows....
unless you only weigh 125
there was someone riding an 7,8, or 9m octane and doing fine....

They only make 8 Octanes of those sizes so it must have been an 8M...

It was Mike Hall on the Octane.

I was riding a 9m Fuel most of the day, but got off the water at about 12-12:30.

causeway was pretty insane. Got out there at about 3:00pm....and just watched one guy on his 7m waroo, while I contemplated on-shore whether or not launching my 9m waroo would be such a good idea. I declined. There were some pretty insane gusts...one of them actually knocked me back a few steps and almost ripped out a couple of small street signs. Ikite showed SW at 30 gusting to 40 from 2pm-4pm. I noticed the wind picking up heavily at the causeway from about 3-4:15pm and helped the 7m guy call it quits....needless to say, he was litt as well. I wish I would have studied later in the day and caught the wind when it was a bit more reasonable. There's always tomorrow morning....

got there at noon.. everyone was on 12's..

second i got it pumped up it picked up about 5 to 10 mph more.. and stuck.

i gave the 12 a whirl and there was no way it was going to be fun..

got the 9m 'roo in the air and had a freakin blast. had to take a sit during that one 45 min section where it just went off..

once it calmed a bit i went back out and had tons of fun.

watching Billy P on his 9m going HUGE and then throwing passes.. holy shhhhht.
that man is insane.

i know that today i boosted larger than ever in my life.. hit a few that just sent me to the clouds..

epic day indeed.

nearly 4 hours on the water today.

wow.

Didn't get to spend much time on the Monkey's today. Smallest size was a 12M. Who knew these winds were going to be on like that ALL DAY!

After sitting around for awhile, got a fun chance to ride a 5M Waroo. That was interesting.

We will shoot again for Sunday with the Monkey's. Glad to see everybody made it home safe. Considering the winds, no one got jacked.'

Later,
Steve-O
