fwiw, allegedly if someone finds something and you can prove it's yours legally they have to return it or it's considered stolen property.

Lately I have been laminating my contact info into my board. It simply cannot be removed even with sanding. Plus if you ever sell it, and the guy loses it, you'll get it back lol. (that was a joke)

I would get the police involved or at least threaten to if they won't play nice.

Hope you get it back.

I got my board back !

Yea toby the girl removed my name and phone #
I did just use a label maker... So it was easy to remove :-(

Whitout the serial # I would have had a hard time to prove that this specific board was mine.
She was saying someone gave it to her husband a few months ago...

Yea I had to get the police involved
Good thing because now I'll get the police report to find out who she is !

Glad to see you got it back bro. Are these people going to face any charges? It just does not seem right that they could get away with attempting something like this...

Yea Tom it would be really interesting to do that on stock board
Not all have a serial #
I just looked at my CF and there is none. ?!?!?!

I'm really thanks full to all of you who looked out for it and helped me.
Thanks again Scott for posting !

Toby, If I could I would go after this biaaaatch but in a legal matter selling somebody else lost property is unfortunately not a crime :-(
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Great community !

This appears to be a franchise store where they sell peoples items for them at a percentage for their listing and monitoring the status of the sale. I did a brief follow up and it appears as though they have a store front in Palm Harbor 37150 US Hwy 19 N. Managers name is David Deleeuw and the phone number is 727-786-9190. Just in case any one wants to give them a call to tell them you're thought's.

here's the link to the store. http://www.isolditgulfcoast.com/Contact.htm

I was involved in this process with Gui. The owner of the store is a retired Deputy Sherrif and well versed with the law. He was very cool about the whole situation and didn't want a lawsuit from either side. Once docs were provided to him regarding Gui's board, the lady gave up. Seems we called her bluff and she folded her hand.

I wouldn't call him and bitch him out. He was very cool about everything.

Well at least contact ebay and maybe paypal, this seller is a "power seller" and giving ebay the lowdown might cause her some trouble with them at least...

Cutting a pasting was effortless, no problem.
I think SoCal on EK found the ad. Sounds like Steve-O did a lot to help.

I have faith that b/c the seller is a power seller (chain of them actually, if you read about them on Ebay) that they won't want to risk a bad 'vote' and the comments that follow, as Toby said. I can't imagine them selling it. The trick is going to be getting it from the lady who took it into the Ebay pawn shop outlet in the first place.
I have no clue how that stuff works, but good luck.
