Default Miami Kite Masters Is On This Weekend In Crandon

GOOD NEWS!!!
MIAMI KITEBOARD MASTERS IS HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND!!!!

Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th of April in North Crandon park - Key Biscayne.

11 to 15 knots of wind from the South East is an ideal Side-on direction in Crandon and South West is still straight side to side-off ridable without problems.
Low tide at 3pm.

Cash prize is set at $3500 to be spread between the winners of each contest .

Over $10,000 of value in trophies and Equipment rewards for the 2nd and 3rd places and all riders entering the contest.

Make sure to Register ASAP and Pay the Entry fee - cheaper online, via the Riders Registration page.

IMPORTANT: RIDERS REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 9.45AM

Each competitors will receive :
- 1 Event Rashguard
- 1 Event T-shirt
- 1 free meal/drink for each day
- A ticket for the Competitors-only Raffle to win 1 week Stay for 6 at Sea Lane luxuruous Beach Front resort in Bozo beach Cabarete.

Riders Meeting is at 10am sharp - we will adjust the schedule each day to run as many races and heats accordingly to the best wind conditions.

The Course and wind link as been updated to the website www.miamikiteboardingmasters.com

Plan to be here early as we may expect traffic on the causeway due to the Wakeboard contest 1 mile down the street.

There will be food vendor on the beach for the spectators.

The Award Ceremony and after-Race Party will be at Joe's TIKI BAR ( ex-Yage club) in Rickenbacker marina . Food and beer will be served at the end of each day.
DVD projection of the latest Kitesurfing Movies, and DJ spinning from Kulchak Shok.
Free entry.

Thanks for the word Christophe. Hope your traditional pull with the wind gods has been restored and we'll be served up with even more wind than predicted tomorrow. It's happened before after all.

yes it did , and will happen again.
South wind in crandon is always stronger than predicted. one correction thjough, we made a typo for the tide, Low tide is at 9am and low tide around 3pm.
but we are gonna get 15kts on saturday and 13 kts on sunday
that's it.
BTW , we are glad to announce the participation of Dimitri Maremdines, mong the riders, and Sandrine Roussos , CEO of IKO will come in person to introduce the New Kitesurfing Insurance they now ofer worldwide.
The kiteshop will run a Fun Paddle board COntest for public and riders.

Default Non Competitors

I haven't been to one of these events before. Will non competitors have a chance to ride?

I really don't know. Christophe will have to answer that one. I believe if non-competitors are allowed to ride they will have to have the certification, insurance, registration required the rest of the year to ride at Crandon. If the management imposes the 25 max. kiter on the water rule then non-competitors will have a lesser chance of being able to get out.

So, not sure. Over to you Christophe ...
