Flash Boiled Standup Surfer, Volunteers ... ?

Well, it's one interpretation considering how close erstwhile standup surfer came to lava flowing into the ocean. A nice H2S bubble blows up, blows him over (maybe just knocks him out) and sauteed surfer could be right up. The same thing could happen if a lava tube opens up in the vicinity. Who ever thinks of this stuff in advance anyway? Just schedule a ski, a news chopper, other media and do a spur of the moment paddle.
