Default Vietnam?

Anyone been kiteboarding in Vietnam? Will be there in April. Phan Thiet looks look an awesome spot on kitebeaches.com but I can't make it that far north. Anyone have any info on Vung Tau? thanks

I'm not familiar with Vung Tau, but it is definitely worth the trip to Phan Thiet/Mui Ne. (aprox 4 hour drive East of HCMC/Saigon) The wind is great that time of year...most likely you will not need anything bigger than a 12m or 14m kite. When I was there I used my 10m 70% of the time, 7m 10% of the time, 14m 20%.

The wind starts to build around 10 AM and usually ends up in the mid 20 kt range throughout the day. It can be choppy and lots of shore break, but a great place to ride and hang out.
