Default key west

i'm planning on the the week between xmas and newyears. i kited there 8 or so years ago at smathers. Is there anything new about smathers i should know? any restriction in the keys? any kite companys offer boat trips out to rideable areas?

Yes, there are some things anyone considering riding at Smathers needs to read over at: http://fksa.org/showthread.php?t=5813 There are a few basic things you must do to keep your kite away from bystanders, powerlines and road traffic. I think both thekitehouse.com and keywestkiteboarding.com run kiting sea taxi to the flats.

Give us a shout when you get down, Depending on the days you are here , we will be happy to help out. I am fully booked for the Xmas week, but may be able to hook you up with some of the other captains who kite and they may be able to get you out.
