It looks like winds may be SE on Saturday.

Last time I was over there the causeway launches were blocked in some cases by major bridge construction. This may or may not have changed at this point.

One of the four causeway launch areas in the sound.

It looks like the lighthouse area at the south tip of Sanibel may be good for SE winds.

A view to the south

I would be sure to contact Roy Massey with http://www.aceperformer.com/ about current precautions. It is high tourist season over there and there are bound to be quite a few people around the lighthouse.

Thanks Rick!

I will try to stay at the causeway if possible and away from the beach goers.

How did it go? Is there still a ton of construction activity along the causeway or have things opened up again?

We went off Stiltsville to try out Ty Luckets "pole boat." It was a good session. Photos and story to follow.
