IKO INSTRUCTOR COURSE - October 2007

Hi,
There will be 2 IKO Instructor Courses coming up in Miami , Key Biscayne , Fl on October.
Dates are scheduled as follow:
- 2nd to 6th October 2007 ( tuesday to saturday)
- 23rd to 27th Ocotber 2007 ( same)

The IKO ITC is a 5 days course that focuses on upgrading your general knowledges on all aspects of the profession and the sport and take you to a comfortable teaching level.
Contents of the course covers the following topics: Equipment technical aspects & specs; Safety and self-rescue procedures; Boat launching-landing-rescue procedures; Aerodynamics; Meteorology; Oceanology; Teaching Psychology; Complete teaching Lesson Plan; On-water Live teaching situations.

It's an intense but very beneficial course for riders who want to boost up their knowledges or anticipate to teach the sport professionally or not , with the skills and safe approach that is requires .
Additionnally it provides you internationnal recognition by becoming an IKO Instructor which quality standards are recognized worldwide.
The fee for the course is $630 , and includes all manuals and the membership for 1 year.

The course is also open to PASA Instrcutors who wish to upgrade their diploma and obtain the IKO Equivalency . This is a 3-days course ran simultaneously to the 5-days ITC during the 3 first days. Cost is $370 including 1 year Membership to IKO.

Registrations are already open ; and we are 1/2 way full so far.
Each course has maximum 8 candidates capacity.
It will be ran in Crandon park Nature Center, from 8am till 4pm.

If you don't have a CPR/1st AID , as required to enroll the course, we offer a 1-day course on the monday before the ITC. cost is $70
