I have one of the old style foil boards with clicker bindings and snowboard boots?! Haven't tried it yet amazingly enough. Good thing they figured out how to go without snowboard boots and bulky lifejackets with newer foil boards. They do look interesting though, wonder why so many folks have been suggesting them for the Olympics? They are rare in the water so far, at least in the areas I have been in. Do you have many regularly in use in your area Russky?

I'm surprized they are so popular on the other side of the pond. They even do "World Championships"... damn ... Just wondering what is faster and better (foil or race board) for nasty choppy conditions like in Tampa Bay (Gulf side)...

There was someone from up north using one in the waves @ North Beach
on a NW Wind Wave day this past winter. I was just cruising when I saw him. Jibed just like I did on my surfboard , no boots required in the waves, I think he just used the usual straps in the Gulf chop waves like I did. yes, he was catching waves and going upwind as well as anybody
