Paul Goes To Peru
and not for the first time I think. As he is checking out local conditions he sends an email back from time to time. His first appears below:
Travel to Peru day 1 or 24 hours of airport lessons in travel July 13th, 2007 Well, i am off to Peru to go to Lima and then up North…..or am i? Wednesday leave to head up to miami because i have surf board and kite gear cant fly out of key west. The signs: 1] Pedro, surfing bro says” i heard it snowed in PERU, 1ST time in 86 years”… what!! I am in flip flops and have only shorts… 2] With the airport in sight, I can see smoke… oh great the tower is on fire! Plans are still going this is going to be great. 3] Check in all bags are sent through [they were all the correct weight, i will do another travel post on how to pack kiteboarding gear and weights]… head to the Admirals Club to chill before flight, it is now 3:00… It seems a roofer set off a fire on top of the new air traffic control tower at MIA. Lots of black smoke, had to have been an interesting sight. Continued at: July 13th installment at: http://www.thekitehouse.com/blog2/ A fuzzy shot of some of the little surf at Mancora
